Tenure-track position in East Asian religions – Department of Religious Studies at Mount Allison University

The Department of Religious Studies at Mount Allison University invites applications for a tenure-track position in East Asian religions, with expertise in one or more of the following related areas: arts, material culture, politics, and ritual studies. The candidate should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and have an appreciation for the Liberal Arts context. He or she should be competent to teach in the areas of religions of China and religions of Japan, and be able to offer further thematically related courses in both areas as well as address the intersection between religion and the contemporary world. The successful candidate shall also contribute to the general research culture and activities of the Department. The appointment will be at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant Professor, and will begin on 1 July 2014, subject to budgetary approval.
