Fall Grants, Religions at Faber Residency Program

In All, Funding & Opportunities, Job Postings

I’m Francesc Serés, director of Faber Residency, the Residency of Arts, Sciences and Humanities of Catalonia, located in Olot (Catalonia), 120 km from Barcelona.

Faber, the Arts, Sciences and Humanities Residency of Catalonia in Olot is a place for writers, translators, artists of diverse disciplines, scholars and scientists to stay together and to work on their personal projects.

During their stay, the residents will collaborate in different kinds of activities addressed to students, professionals and general public. The activities will be carried out in accordance with a project, taking into account previous demands and necessities.

We will devote the first fall period of residency to religions. We want to carry out a rigorous treatment of religious beliefs, discussing various forms of relationship that we establish with the current religions in our cities and create a work environment based on dialogue and exchange of experiences. Of course, we take in account the relationship between Art History and Religion.

What do we offer? Our residents have the best working conditions and an environment to accompany their projects.
In Faber there are eight spacious rooms, designed to provide comfortable working conditions. There are also several common areas where the residents will be able to exchange their experiences with each other, with the public and with institutions.

Faber will take care of the resident’s stay providing accommodation, half-board (breakfast and dinner) and fully-equipped kitchen in case the residents would like to prepare their own lunch. Faber does not cover any travel costs. There is no per diem

Who can apply this call? Faber is an interdisciplinary residency. Any professional, researcher, artist or writer who has a project related to feminism and believes that s/he can offer an intellectual exchange and engage in outreach activities. These activities (lectures, workshops, round tables, seminars, working groups) may be addressed to specialists, but also to the general public and students –from different levels of education. To assess the projects, we will take into account the candidate’s curriculum, the work project, the quality of the proposed activities and the flexibility to adapt to different audiences.

Yours sincerely,

Francesc Serés
