In Memoriam: Donald L. Boisvert

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Boisvert (1951-2019). Donald’s innovative and critical work on queer religion, sexual pedagogy in religious communities, masculinities and same-sex desire has helped shape these fields of research and will continue to influence and guide our understanding of religious and sexual cultures. Donald was a professor in the Department of Religion at Concordia University, served as Principal of the Montreal Diocesan Theological College, Priest-in-charge of Christ Church Cathedral and clergy associate with St. Matthias’ Anglican Church. Donald was also a warm and generous collaborator, mentor and friend. He will be deeply missed, by all of us and especially by his partner, Gaston. Donations can be made to the Donald L.
