New Graduate Diploma in Catholic Studies – Assumption University, Launching in Fall 2022
Assumption University just launched a new Graduate Diploma in Catholic Studies for the Fall 2022 semester.
Assumption University is pleased to announce the launch of the Graduate Diploma in Catholic Studies for the upcoming Fall 2022 semester.
This graduate credential marks another advancement in Assumption’s academic revitalization plan. The diploma received formal approval from Assumption University’s Senate and is now open for registration.
The diploma emphasizes both classical and contemporary issues in Catholic studies. The diploma consists of five graduate courses from the foundational courses to courses on social justice and ecumenical and interfaith dialogue to a practice-based course. There is also an option for students to study a specialized topic of interest one-on-one with a faculty member. One of the most advantageous components of this program is that it is regarded as a hiring asset by four Catholic school boards in the region, including the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, the
London District Catholic School Board, Conseil Scolaire Catholique Providence, and Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board.
The diploma is also fully supported by Bishop Ronald Peter Fabbro, CB, Bishop of London and Chancellor of Assumption University.
In addition to completing the entire diploma, students also have the option to take select courses at their own pace. There is an auditing option available at a reduced rate. An application form is still
required for those seeking to audit. The minimum entry requirement is an undergraduate degree in any discipline with at least a 70% cumulative average. Please submit official undergraduate transcripts to registrar@assumptionu.ca. Early applications are encouraged as space is limited. There is no application fee.
