IAHR Questionnaire Regarding Feasibility of Online Gatherings – responses due by August 27, 2020

 In News | Nouvelles, Uncategorized

To: Officers of IAHR Member Associations/Societies and Affiliates,

Dear Colleagues,

Due to COVID-19, both the 2020 World Congress and the business meetings (International Committee meeting and General Assembly) have been cancelled.

However, considering the prolonged effects of the pandemic and increased ecological concerns, it may be timely to ask you a few questions about online gatherings. We, the IAHR Executive Committee, would appreciate your observations and opinions.

It is up to you, the leadership of each IAHR member association/society, whether to answer this questionnaire by yourself or by summarizing your discussions with the other members of your association/society. Both your president and your secretary general (or any other officer) are welcome to answer.

We would appreciate if you could give your answers by August 27, 2020.

The results of this survey will be shared with you after the deadline, but please note that there will not be any immediate actions taken in light of the responses. The incoming Executive Committee, however, will discuss the matters thoroughly, giving due consideration to the results and the IAHR Constitution and Rules, and then put forward a proposal to be discussed by the members at large and in the next International Committee.

I am also attaching all questions in a pdf file so that you can easily share the questionnaire with your colleagues if you find it necessary to do so.

A link to the IAHR Executive Committee e-Election will be sent to your delegates right before August 20.

Thank you for your cooperation in advance.

Sincerely yours,

Satoko Fujiwara
