“Black Lives Matter” Annual Gandhi Peace Festival – online webinar on October 17, 2020

Dear Friends,

As you may know because of COVID-19 we cancelled all in-person Gandhi Peace Festival activities this year and put our effort into hosting webinars on this year’s festival theme which is “Black Lives Matter”. A poster of the first webinar is attached (click to download PDF version). The speaker is Dr. Vinay Lal, Professor of History, University of California, Los Angeles.

Our aim is to contribute to the elimination of systemic racism through shedding light on the connection between Gandhi and Civil Rights leaders, and through promotion of nonviolence in the struggles for peace and justice. Dr. Khursheed Ahmed, Editor – Living Gandhi Today, is preparing a special issue of the Gandhi Booklet containing articles related to the Connection between Gandhi and Civil Rights Leaders. When ready we will share it with you.
