New to 2024, we have an additional category for the CSSR Student Prize: Publicly Engaged Research in Religion. The first prize in this category is $300. This category will acknowledge student research outputs that go beyond the traditional essay assignments. Alternative research projects that qualify for this prize include, but are not limited to: policy papers, podcast episodes, blog posts, editorial articles, YouTube videos, Wikipedia entries, and photo essays. Please see the CSSSR website for more information about this new category.
The submission deadline for the Engaged Research in Religion student prize has been extended to October 31. Please send submissions for this prize, by email, to CSSR Member-At-Large: Jacqueline Giesbrecht (19jdg@queensu.ca).
Student winners will be announced in the Fall semester. Graduate student essay winners and the winner(s) of the Publicly Engaged Research in Religion prize will be invited to present during the CSSR Webinar Series (2024-2025) (date to be confirmed). More information will be circulated to members closer to the date.
The CSSR is pleased to be able to support students by acknowledging their work through these competitions.
Please circulate this notice widely.
