Statement made by the AAR: Annual Meeting after the Election

To those travelling to the American Academy of Religion Meeting this weekend in San Antonio, Texas, the CSSR wishes you safe travels. The AAR Executive asks that meeting attendees wear their name badges at all times in the meeting spaces. Security will be heightened for your safety, and the entire Convention Centre will be a gun-free space (even though Texas is an open-carry state). If anyone has chosen to cancel their attendance due to security concerns, please inform the AAR Executive. Take care and enjoy the AAR meeting!
