Annual General Meeting
This year’s CSSR Annual General Meeting has been scheduled for Monday June 19 from 12-2 PM (Eastern). 
All paid members of the Society for the 2023 calendar year are invited to attend. Please do come and provide the CSSR Executive with your feedback on this past year’s activities as well as where you see the CSSR heading in the coming years, so that we can keep improving the Society for the needs of its members.
 

This meeting will be taking place virtually over Zoom.
All 2023 paid members will receive the Zoom meeting details for the AGM via email prior to the event.

CSSR PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE (December 16, 2022)

Dear Colleagues, dear Students, dear Friends of the CSSR,

As we announce the call for proposals for our first in-person conference since the pandemic, I would like to thank all CSSR members for making our last virtual conference such a tremendous success! Thank you very much!!

I would also like to thank very warmly our outgoing executive members Heather Shipley, Sarah Wilkins-Laflamme, Alyshea Cummins and Jeanine LeBlanc as well as our current executive members Ruby Ramji, Paul Gareau, Ted Malcolmson, Chris Miller, Qamer Hameed, Michelle Folk, Samiksa Love, Rachel Brown, Jacqueline Giesbrecht, Kalpesh Bhatt, Michael Gillingham, and our digital coordinator Zabeen Khamisa for their leadership, amazing work, dedicated service and great contribution to the CSSR! Thank you so much!!

I am delighted to say that our 2023 annual meeting will be held in conjunction with the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences on the campus of York University, Toronto from May 27th to May 30th, 2023. All of us on the CSSR executive committee are looking forward to seeing you and connecting with you this spring!

In the meantime, please do not forget to check out our exciting new CSSR 2022-2023 webinar series and please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any suggestions, questions or concerns.

CSSR CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2023

The Canadian Society for the Study of Religion invites proposals for our 2023 annual meeting, which will be held in conjunction with the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences on the campus of York University from Saturday, May 27 to Tuesday, May 30, 2023. The deadline for proposals is January 31, 2023.

The theme for Congress 2023 is Reckonings and Re-Imaginings.
