The Department of Religious Studies at Saint Mary's University is pleased to welcome Sharon Angnakak from the University of Ottawa/ Universite d'Ottawa as our November Virtual Seminar Speaker on 20 November at 12pm Atlantic. Ms. Angnakak's talk is entitled "Uqattiartuq: An Ethnohistorical Study of How Language Influences Our Understanding of Early Cultural Exchanges in Inuit History." To provide support for domestic MA applicants, the Department for the Study of Religion at the University of Toronto will be implementing 3 new initiatives:
1. We will be hosting a workshop on “Applying for the CGSM MA SSHRC Grant” which is open to students from all universities in Canada. Students from religion undergraduate programs as well as cognate fields (e.g. History, Anthropology, Political Science, Indigenous Studies, etc.) are welcome to attend. This workshop will be run by Professor Amira Mittermaier on Thursday October 29th from 2:00 to 3:00pm.
