UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, RIVERSIDE – The Department of Religious Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track appointment beginning July 1, 2015 at the rank of Assistant Professor for a specialist in the study of Global Christianity. The department welcomes applicants who engage in a cross-cultural or comparative frame and specialize in one or more of the following geographic areas: Africa, Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States. Candidates should be grounded in theoretical issues regarding the study of religion. Training in race and ethnic studies, gender studies, and/or post-colonial studies is desirable. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the relevant research languages. They must also combine their research interests with questions of theory and method.
