The Religious Studies Department at McDaniel College invites applications for a tenure- track position at the assistant professor level to begin Fall 2015. Candidates should have expertise in the Religions of North America, including marginalized as well as mainstream communities. Special preference will be given to candidates whose scholarship focuses on the contemporary mid-Atlantic region. Candidates should be prepared to contribute generally to a program in the study of religions within a secular, liberal arts setting, to participate in interdisciplinary teaching, and to contribute to the College’s First Year Seminar and other general education programs. The ideal candidate will combine excellence in undergraduate teaching with scholarly potential. Ph.D. preferred by time of appointment.
