The department of Classics and Religious Studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is searching for a specialist in American Religions to be hired at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track), with the position commencing August 2016. The ideal candidate should have a clear and robust research agenda in any aspect of American religions. S/he should be able to teach courses in religion in North America, and 100-level survey courses in accord with curricular needs. A PhD in a relevant field is required by August, 2016. The ability to teach theory and method in religious studies is advantageous. The anticipated course load for this position is 3/2.
