“Guns, Gangs and Violence: a Faithful Response” – Canadian Multifaith Federation discussion on January 15, 2020

Dear Community Partners and Colleagues,

Currently, Toronto and the GTA is experiencing unprecedented gun and gang violence. The
Canadian Multifaith Federation (CMF) is organizing a forum, “Guns, Gangs and Violence
– a Faithful Response”, to bring together faith group leaders, government officials and
politicians, to explore the role that faith groups can play along with service providers in
addressing this critical public safety issue.

On behalf of CMF, we invite you to participate in this important discussion to be held in
partnership with Global Kingdom Ministries, January 15, 2020, 1250 Markham Road,
Scarborough, 6:30pm.

Joining us will be Hon. Sylvia Jones, Solicitor General of Ontario, Dr. Anthony Hutchison,
Tyndale University, Toronto Mayor John Tory, Toronto Police Chief, Mark Saunders. Other
mayors and police chiefs in the GTA will also be invited to participate.

This free event intends to attract faith leaders from various religions, service providers, and
interested community people. Please join us and become a part of the conversation.
