Deadline for abstracts:
November 6, 2015

The conference will be held
February 8-9, 2016 at
McMaster University,
Hamilton, Ontario.

Drawing upon McMaster’s expertise in the field of international and comparative public policy, the conference theme focuses on the global dimensions of policy and aims to bridge the gap between international relations, international political economy, and public policy by investigating how “the global,” including institutions, actors, structures and ideas, intersects with regional, national, subnational and local jurisdictions to generate particular policies and outcomes.

Papers using a variety of approaches and addressing any aspect of the internationalization of public policy are welcome. Popular themes have included Health and Social policy, Democratic Deficits, the EU, Economic policy, the Environment, Development, Austerity, and Citizenship.

February 8-9, 2016

Open to Masters and PhD students, this interdisciplinary conference will provide students with the ideal setting to foster networks with fellow students and faculty in their area of research. Each participant, will benefit from in-depth feedback on their written work and presentation from a faculty discussant.

The conference will also include a professional development workshop designed specifically for graduate students.
