Dear Colleagues,

The International Advisory Board is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for the Third International Conference on Religion and Spirituality in Society and the call for submissions to the peer-reviewed International Journal of Religion and Spirituality in Society. The Religion and Spirituality in Society Conference will be held 8-9 March 2013 at Arizona State University located in Tempe (Phoenix area), Arizona, USA.

This interdisciplinary conference is for scholars, teachers, leaders and practitioners from any professional discipline who share a common concern for learning and an interest to explore issues of concern in the fields of religion and spirituality, and in particular their social interconnections and implications. Proposals are invited that address issues of religion and spirituality through one of the following categories:

Theme 1: Religious Foundations
Theme 2: Religious Community and Socialization
Theme 3: Religious Commonalities and Differences
Theme 4: The Politics of Religion

Proposals for paper presentations, workshops, round tables or colloquia are invited. The current regular registration deadline for proposals is 8 October 2012 with the final deadline for late submissions being 28 December 2012. Presenters may also choose to submit written papers for publication in the fully refereed International Journal of Religion and Spirituality in Society. If you are unable to attend the conference in person, virtual registrations are also available which allow you to submit a paper for refereeing and possible publication, as well as access to the journal.
