The House that Isaac Built: The Architecture of Cultures and Identities in Canada

 In Call for Papers, Uncategorized

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to let you know about an interdisciplinary conference The House that Isaac Built: The Architecture of Cultures and Identities in Canada, to be held May 13-15, 2013 on the campus of Huron University College at Western University in London, Ontario. The conference steering committee would be pleased if you would post and circulate the attached call for papers (click here)to colleagues and students.

A part of Huron’s Sesquicentennial (1863-2013) celebrations, the conference seeks fresh perspectives on the intellectual, social, cultural, and political context of Huron’s founding generation and the contested cultural landscape their work helped to shape. The conference keynote address will be delivered by A.B. McKillop, Chancellor’s Professor and former Chair of the Department of History at Carleton University.

Our website www.huronuc.ca/conference150 offers further information, including details about submitting paper proposals. We would be glad to answer any and all queries about the conference.

With thanks and best wishes,

Kathryn Schade
