Research Study on Perceived Publication Pressure in Canada

In Funding & Opportunities, Graduate Students, Uncategorized

My name is Kaitlyn Neuman, I am part of a team investigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on perceived publication pressure experienced by academics in Canada.

Please also see attached Letter of Information (click to download PDF)

Our goal with this research is to identify how publication pressure differs across groups of academics. By understanding these subtle differences, our aim is that more targeted supports can be put in place to support academics.

We are looking for thesis-based graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and principal investigators located at Canadian institutions to complete our survey. We are looking for respondents from all disciplines, including Health & Medical Research, Natural Sciences & Engineering, and Social Sciences & Humanities.

We are asking interested participants to fill out one 5-minute anonymous online survey. Further details about the procedures involved in the survey can be found in the attached letter of information. Interested participants can access the online survey at the following link: https://surveys.mcmaster.ca/limesurvey/index.php/965275?lang=en

Following the completion of the survey, participants have the option of entering a draw for one of 10 of $25 gift certificates from GiftCertificates.ca. Draw winners will be able to select from over 70 Canadian brands to redeem their gift certificate.

If you believe graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and/or principal investigators would be interested in participating in this study, would it be possible to share this information with your network?
